Sarah -

It didn't take all that long. I was trying out a new website I had never heard of called animoto.com. You upload your photos and pick your music and it mixes it into a nice video. The smaller videos (30 seconds) and the longer ones cost only $3 to make. I'm glad you like it. I have a hip hop version that my kids like better then the latin version but I thought it was overkill to put both of them on the blog. Thank you for taking the time to post to our blog.

I made a mistake in my comment...the smaller ones (30 seconds) are free to make. Several of my students have made their own from home. Its the longer ones that cost $3 to make.

so the smaller ones take 30seconds right and the bigger ones are only $3 but how long is the three dollar ones take.like how many minutes did it take?????

The longer ones can only be as long as the song you choose and/or the number of pictures you upload. The song I choose for the one on our blog was 4 minutes and 12 seconds. So my video could not be longer then that. It also depends on how many photos you use too. My long video used about 100 photos. The smaller one used about 12-15. If I only used 83 photos on my long video the song would fade after all my pictures were used. So you want to upload enough photos to match the length of your song. Hope that helps.

If you want to make a free one that is only 30 seconds it will not take all 50 photos. You could only put in about 15.

If you want to have a video with 50 pictures you will need to pay for the longer video option ($3). Your video will only be as long as your pictures and music. I am guessing that with 50 pictures your video will probably be close to 2 minutes long.

I recommend trying the free version first. Pick 15 photos that you like and uploaded to try it out. If you like it and you want to make a longer one then you can.

Hope that helps!
